about

On November 30th 2013, I formed a solo effort within the musical sphere of the world in order to express some ravenous sensibilities that were lingering deep inside of my being. Upon the burning path of progression, I found myself ready to penetrate the realm of live music in Barbados, within the next two years.
I tried to score my first live gigs under the guise known as 'The Kadeem Ward Project' with my groundbreaking 3rd studio album 'Dilemma Of Dispersal & Aging'. One venue owner, an individual in charge of 'Surfer's Bay' on the south coast simply said: "You're good in the studio, but how good are you live?", which really defeated the purpose of me sharing the second opus from the 3rd album with him. That sonic was 'Separation Destiny (Vision II)'; an opus which featured 40+ minutes of live guitar improvisation.
I found myself becoming a live session guitarist for 3 individuals who paid me $50 one night a week during this same year 2015. I refused to learn any of their watered-down, bullshit, mainstream pop rock cover songs. Eventually I was fired by one female individual simply because of photography that was taken of me playing with another band. Between the years 2015 - 2021, I continued to focus on my solo work from my bedroom, releasing several EPs, demos, singles & two more studio albums.
'Elegy' was the forth studio album released on July 16th 2020, and 'Formulas', released on November 30th 2020 as well. During the year 2022, I was approached by Jesse Foster, an established Rock musician here in Barbados about doing intermission gigs with him on drums on the south coast circuit here in the island.
This brought forward my first three live performances at two venues in Barbados. The idea was for me to get promotion for my band & also for me to audition for my very own gigs in the future. When I approached the manager after my debut performance at Blakey's for employment, she simply said: "Too much Rock n Roll". Now seriously... who on earth says something so retarded?
I simply came to realize that I would never be taken seriously by the biased venue owners for the simple fact that I am not White or that I refuse to play covers. Jesse actually told me that I was way ahead of all of the other 'rock bands' in Barbados, because of my large discography and consistency. Practically, 99% of the Barbadian 'Rock scene' are heavily reliant on Alternative/Pop Rock covers in order to kiss people's asses in exchange of money.
In my opinion, I am the ONLY genuine Rock artist to have ever contributed to anything unique & authentic in this racially biased, bullshit island. Bands & artist have been playing the same fucking 90's Pop Rock/Alternative regurgitations for decades. These individuals & groups rarely release their own material, which is very untrue to REAL Rock n Roll music. They have no vision. They lack substance.

I hereby declare that:
THE YOUTH ARE LAZY & THE SCENE IS DEAD.
